MANILA, Philippines — Kim Chiu revealed that her “Linlang” co-star Paulo Avelino is proud of her after she got nominated as Best Female Lead in a TV Program/Series at the ContentAsia Awards 2024 held in Taiwan yesterday.

In an ABS-CBN News report, Kim said Paolo already congratulated her.

“Congrats and sabi niya maging nominated lang, panalo na ‘yun,” Kim said.

“Kaya ayun nag-congrats na rin siya. Napapa-proud sila (cast and crew). Sana mauwi ko talaga,” she added.

She did not bag the award for her role in “Linlang,” but Kim took the stage as one of the presenters at the awards show held in the capital Taipei. Her “Linlang” co-star Kaila Estrada was also nominated in the supporting actress category but also did not win.

Kim had earlier expressed her excitement regarding her nomination.

“Super excited kasi first time kong ma-nominate sa ganung award-giving body. Nakaka-excite at nakakatuwa ‘yung feeling,” she said.

“Habang nag-iimpake ako kagabi, sabi ko, ‘Diyos ko, itutuloy ko pa ba ‘to?’ As in kinakabahan talaga ako. But being nominated sa ContentAsia Awards, sobrang panalo na talaga ‘yun,” she added.
