President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has led the distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) and electronic titles (E-Titles) to 1,217 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Coron, Palawan, marking a significant milestone in the government’s agrarian reform program.

The distributed 1,234 E-Titles covered 2,921.96 hectares under the Department of Agrarian Reform’s (DAR) land parcelization initiative aimed at providing the farmers’ ownership of agricultural lands.

“Ito po ay ating ginagawa para sa inyong kapakanan at kinabukasa (We are doing this for your benefits and future),” the President said.

In addition to the Coron beneficiaries, 53 CLOAs covering 4.8 hectares were also handed out to farmers in Narra, Palawan, as part of DAR’s regular initiatives.

The President also inaugurated some farm-to-market roads, thereby improving transport and boosting economic activities in the province. Key projects included the San Nicolas to South Caniogan, South Nalbot to Arado, and Busuang to Caruray roads, benefiting over 1,000 ARBs.

“The new roads will help you get closer to customers and improve your livelihood,” Mr. Marcos said.

“We understand the struggles of our farmers, especially those planting in remote areas. The long journey not only eats up their time, but can also lead to extra expenses,” he added.

The Chief Executive gave assurance that the program will not end with land distribution, but will continue to provide support and infrastructure to enable the farmers to succeed.
