DAVAO CITY, Philippines —The Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Laban ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) picked Senators Bong Go and Ronald dela Rosa for re-election in the May 2025 polls, while actor Phillip Salvador is also gunning for a senatorial seat under the same party.
The three candidates accepted PDP-Laban’s nomination and the party expects more potential candidates under their slate until Oct. 8 as it has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Partido Reporma, Hugpong ng Pagbabago, Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan and Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte National Executive Coordinating Committee.
A special committee was formed by PDP-Laban to accept nominations from senatorial candidates from the other parties.
Former president Rodrigo Duterte attended the party’s national assembly held here on Friday night.
He lauded the party members who stood firm for the party “even if we don’t have money or backers.”
