MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach made history as the first Filipina to walk in L’Oreal’s runway show at Paris Fashion Week.

The event, titled “Le Défilé ‘Walk Your Worth,” was held at the iconic Place de l’Opéra in Paris, France on Sep. 23, 2024.

The milestone came just in time for her 35th birthday, which she celebrated the following day, September 24.

Striking a confident walk and pose, Wurtzbach wore a black silk off-shoulder dress with pink floral puffy sleeves, paired with a simple yet elegant high updo.

“Ahead of her runway debut, she shared moments from her Paris hotel on Instagram, writing, “Just a few more hours before it’s showtime…but first, an obligatory balcony shot! Sharing a few snaps at the Loreal Suite and me signing some polaroids. It’s the calm before the storm. But I’m ready.”

According to L’Oreal’s website, Le Défilé “Walk Your Worth” celebrates “women’s empowerment, inclusion, and sisterhood on the Place de l’Opéra, welcoming the brand’s family of ambassadors, fashion designers, and beauty experts, who will unite to make a feminine and feminist statement.”

Wurtzbach’s husband, Jeremy Jauncey, also accompanied her to Paris.

It was just in March when Wurtzbach was named one of L’Oreal’s ambassadors and led the brand’s “Sayang? No, #ImWorthIt” campaign.

In addition to Paris Fashion Week, she also attended this year’s fashion week events in Milan and New York.
