Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy and his four co-accused will remain at the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame despite a court order for their transfer to Quezon City Jail, a police spokesperson said Tuesday.
In a press briefing, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo said a Pasig court has also ordered that Quiboloy and the others remain at the PNP Custodial Center.
“Meron din pong inilabas na order po ang RTC Pasig directing the PNP to retain the custody nitong mga nasabing indibiduwal dahil yung kaso po nila sa Pasig po ay non-bailable po,” she said.
“So we don’t want to run the risk na ilipat po sila doon po sa QC tapos po mag-bail po sila. Wala na pong kontrol ang PNP doon. We just have to really harmonize po itong mga court order na ito,” she added.
Quiboloy and his four co-accused are facing qualified human trafficking charges before the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 159.
