Rain or Shine defeated San Miguel, 122-112, to snap the Beermen’s four-game winning streak in the PBA Governors’ Cup on Thursday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

The Elasto Painters reclaimed the lead in Group B as it improved to 7-2, while the Beermen slipped to 6-3.

After having a slim 61-59 lead at the end of the first half, Rain or Shine pulled away in the third period and outscored the Beermen, 36-29, to close the said frame with a 97-88 advantage.

Rain or Shine continued to pound in the final frame as it led, 105-90, early in the fourth quarter before sealing the win.

Andrei Caracut waxed hot as he drilled four out of six triples to post 20 points on top of eight assists and three rebounds, while Beau Belga had 16 points, five assists, four rebounds, and a block. Import Aaron Fuller had 17 points, 11 boards, four assists, and two blocks.

CJ Perez and Terrence Romeo had 27 and 24 points, respectively, while June Mar Fajardo registered 14 points, 12 rebounds, and two assists. Import Jordan Adams had 24 points.
