Smart Communications, the wireless subsidiary of PLDT Inc., has partnered with AirAsia Philippines, SM, and 7-Eleven to reward loyal customers and boost access to its mobile network services. The collaboration includes a series of promotions aimed at expanding market reach while offering incentives to users.

In the “Load & Fly” raffle with SM, four customers won international roundtrip tickets for two by purchasing Php500 load cards, SIMs, or eSIMs through SM outlets. Similarly, the “CLiQQ, Load & Fly” promo with 7-Eleven saw three customers win roundtrip tickets by buying select load promos or regular load via the CLiQQ app.

“This is our way of delighting our customers with exciting rewards for using our products and services. We appreciate our partners AirAsia Philippines, SM, and 7-Eleven for helping us expand our reach and deliver world-class mobile services,” said Chito Franco, PLDT and Smart’s VP for Consumer Sales.

One winner, 45-year-old Leah Gamban, a Smart subscriber for 20 years, won a prize after purchasing a prepaid load card at the SM Store. “Thank you Smart, AirAsia, and SM Store for this wonderful prize,” she said.

Additionally, Smart distributed free SIM or eSIM vouchers to tourists on Manila-bound AirAsia flights, redeemable at Smart booths in Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla expressed his company’s support for the partnership.

“AirAsia has always focused on making air travel accessible. Having partners like Smart enables us to enhance travel experiences through customer rewards and connectivity,” he said.

Franco noted that the partnership supports Smart’s mission to provide an enhanced digital experience for tourists, aligning with the country’s tourism goals.

Smart’s mobile network, which covers 97 percent of the population, was recently recognized for having the Philippines’ Best 5G Coverage Experience by independent analytics firm Opensignal. It is part of the country’s largest integrated network, supported by PLDT’s 1.1-million-kilometer fiber infrastructure.

Smart’s initiatives align with PLDT’s efforts to bridge the digital divide, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 9) on industry, innovation, and infrastructure. They also support the Philippine government’s push for digitalization.
