Tropical Storm ‘Bebinca’ intensifies outside PAR as trough affects eastern Visayas, Mindanao

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has forecast Tropical Storm “Bebinca” to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on Friday afternoon or evening, before exiting by Saturday morning.

According to the state weather bureau, the center of the storm was last estimated 1,750 kilometers east-northeast of Eastern Visayas.

Bebinca was moving northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour (kph) with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph and gustiness of up to 105 kph.

The tropical storm’s trough is affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon is affecting Southern Luzon and the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.
