MANILA, Philippines — The United States Embassy in the Philippines is set to open a new visa application center in Parañaque City as part of changes to its visa processing system starting September 28, the embassy said in an announcement on Friday, September 6.
Located at Parqal Building 8, Level 3, Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard, Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City, the new center will provide key services to Filipinos seeking travel to the US as part of the embassy’s updated visa processing system.
Starting September 28, visa applicants seeking interview appointments will be required to schedule a separate appointment at the visa application center in Parañaque City for photo capture and fingerprint scanning before their interview at the US embassy on Roxas Boulevard.
The scheduling will be done through the “new and redesigned” online appointment system, which will be accessible at ustraveldocs.com/ph starting September 28.
Applicants who already have visa interviews scheduled before September 28 will not be affected by these changes and should proceed directly to the embassy for their appointments, the US embassy said in its announcement.
Those who have existing accounts in the current visa appointment system will be required to sign in to the new system using their already-registered email address to retrieve their user profile, which includes payment receipts and appointment information.
The US embassy said its new visa application center will provide appointment slots from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays.
Applicants can pick up their passports or drop off interview waiver visa applications and other required documents without an appointment from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. — Cristina Chi
