The US Embassy in the Philippines is set to open a new Visa Application Center (VAC), launch an updated visa appointment system, and expand call center services to United States citizens in the Philippines starting September 28.
The new VAC will be located at Level 3 of Parqal Building 8 in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.
Immigrant and nonimmigrant visa applicants alike seeking interview appointments will be required to schedule a separate VAC appointment for photo capture and fingerprint scanning prior to their interview at the US Embassy on Roxas Boulevard.
The said scheduling will take place through the new, redesigned online appointment system.
Meanwhile, applicants who have already scheduled a visa interview before September 28 will not be affected and must proceed directly to their US Embassy appointment.
The online appointment system will feature a secure and user-friendly interface for visa applicants, available on September 28 via ustraveldocs.com/ph.
For applicants who have existing accounts in the current visa appointment system, they will be required to sign in to the new system using their previously registered email address to retrieve their user profile that includes payment receipts and appointment information.
The VAC will offer appointment slots from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, as well as 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays.
Appointments will not be needed for applicants who wish to pick up their passports or drop off interview waiver visa applications and other required documents from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays.
The U.S. Embassy will also launch a call center for customers with general, non-emergency American Citizen Services (ACS) inquiries.
US citizens can contact consular hotlines at (+632) 7792-8988 or (+632) 8548-8223, or (703) 520-2235 for callers in the United States—with passport, citizenship, and notarial service questions.
Additionally, the US Embassy will launch a new dedicated website (ustraveldocs.com/ph/en/american-citizens-services) and email (support-acs-philippines@usvisascheduling.com) for these ACS services on September 28.
Inquiries unrelated to passport, citizenship, or notarials are still directed to the embassy’s ACS unit directly through ACSInfoManila@state.gov.
