Until her untimely demise, Iglesias worked as the public relations consultant for Conrad Manila since its official opening in 2016 and was instrumental in driving the property’s swift success within just a few years, even as it navigated the challenges posed by the pandemic that followed soon after.

Besides Conrad, she was also Communications Consultant for Maybank since 2017.

Iglesias extensive career also spans 13 years in publishing as Managing Editor for “Expat Communications,” after which she spent over a decade in the corporate world as a Management Consultant for John Clements Consultants, among other roles.

A graduate of Journalism and Education Administration from the University of the Philippines, the highly successful communications expert also served in the faculty of some of the country’s top private tertiary institutions, among them the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and St. Scholastica’s College Manila where she was promoted as chairman of the Department of Mass Communications.

She is survived by her husband, award-winning film writer and director Roy Iglesias, and their three loving and intelligent sons Isaac, Ivan and Irving, who brought her the greatest pride.

Iglesias, a loyal supporter of “The Manila Times” for many years, is an immense loss to both the public relations industry and the media, given the close collaboration between these two sectors. Our Lifestyle and Entertainment staff will especially miss “Sis Zeny” or “Maam Zeny, not only for her vibrant energy but her genuine friendliness and sincere nature, which are traits that are not easy to come by in this industry. Her absence will be profoundly felt, but her achievements, worth ethic and outstanding character will continue to inspire us all.
