A woman working for Alice Guo denied that she was a body double of the dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor.
According to a ”24 Oras Weekend” report by John Consulta on Saturday, “Cath” told officials of the National Bureau of Investigation on Friday that she wanted to clear her name and that she was scared for her security.
“Lumabas kasi sa TV na ako raw yung doppelganger ni mayora. Hindi po, hindi po talaga,” said Cath.
(It was released on TV that I was the mayor’s doppleganger. I’m not, I’m really not.)
She added that she only went out with Guo once as the secretary of the farm allegedly owned by the former mayor.
Earlier, lawyer Elmer Galicia had said that he saw a woman who looked like Guo inside a white SUV when he notarized her counter-affidavit in the human trafficking complaint on August 14.
Cath denied that the woman was her.
Guo had acknowledged that Cath was employed by her, but she had not given her name.
Cath declined to be placed under NBI’s protective custody and chose to return to Bamban before her appearance before the Senate, which is investigating Guo’s alleged links to an illegal POGO hub in Bamban. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
