At least 14 people were killed in a landslide in Talisay, Batangas, Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A) spokesperson Police Lieutenant Colonel Chitadel Gaoiran said on Friday.
According to a police report, the landslide was reported in Barangay Sampaloc around Thursday evening amid the heavy rains brought by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
Police said that out of the eight bodies initially retrieved from the landslide, five were minors and three were adults.
Rescue and retrieval operations are ongoing, according to the police. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
