Greenbelt 5’s growing luxury beauty floor just became home to the first Chanel Fragrance & Beauty flagship boutique in the Philippines. The 167-square-meter space is very Chanel with its minimalist black-and-white interiors with a touch of gold.
It gets more luxurious inside. A standout feature is the Chanel Privé, the brand’s first spa in the country, a retreat in the middle of the bustling mall with two suites, Coromandel and Camelia, both decorated in textiles (tweed carpets!) flown in from Paris. I look forward to trying the Le Massage de Chanel, an East-meets-West massage technique administered by their experienced aestheticians, all registered nurses, after a day of Christmas shopping. There are more custom skincare treatments on the menu, all tailored to rejuvenate both skin and spirit, once they open appointments in December.
The boutique also débuts 31 Le Rouge, a satin lipstick refill housed in a sleek faceted glass case inspired by the mirrors lining Gabrielle Chanel’s iconic Art Deco staircase at 31 rue Cambon. This design pays homage to the rich legacy of the address, where each vibrant shade reflects moments from Mademoiselle Chanel’s life.
For fragrance lovers, the boutique offers Chanel’s Les Exclusifs De Chanel collection. My favorite is the Coromandel, inspired by Gabrielle Chanel’s love for Coromandel screens that adorned her Paris apartment. With a rich composition of patchouli, frankincense and benzoin, Coromandel delivers a soft yet intense amber embrace, transporting the wearer into a world of exquisite elegance.
