ABS-CBN Entertainment surpasses the 50 million subscribers mark on YouTube, making it the most subscribed channel in the media and entertainment category in Southeast Asia.
Jamie Lopez, head of ABS-CBN Digital, expressed gratitude to viewers for their continued support.
“We share this milestone with our new and loyal subscribers alike. Since ABS-CBN’s shift to digital, our viewers have embraced YouTube as a go-to source of ABS-CBN content. We will continue to meet the increasing demand for content online,” Lopez said.
Ajay Vidyasagar, managing director of YouTube Southeast Asia and Emerging Markets, congratulated ABS-CBN, highlighting the importance of this achievement as a reflection of their commitment to engaging audiences worldwide.
Since transitioning fully to digital in 2020, ABS-CBN has offered free access to current programs and popular shows on YouTube. Upcoming content includes the original series Halfmates, which began streaming on Oct. 18, and Four Bad Boys and Me, set for release next year.
The network has also enhanced its YouTube viewing experience through Kapamilya Online Live, providing 24/7 livestreaming and on-demand access to current and classic shows. This service allows viewers across Asia, Australia, Europe, and New Zealand to watch simultaneously with audiences in the Philippines.
The platform has seen increased viewership outside the Philippines, particularly in Japan, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Italy, and the United Kingdom.
Subscribers can access various series and enjoy exclusive features through the “Super Kapamilya” membership, which includes behind-the-scenes content and livestreams of popular events. Popular series like Kuan on One, Zoomers, and How to Move On in 30 Days have also garnered significant views.
