TV host and social media personality Alex Gonzaga is taking a more relaxed approach in her journey to motherhood, despite past pregnancy struggles and a miscarriage.
Alex opened up about her experience with in vitro fertilization (IVF) and Lymphocyte Immunization Therapy (LIT), as well as her current use of Chef Ayb’s Herbal Tea, which she believes has improved her chances of conceiving.
“Pweda na ako mabuntis, anytime,” she said during the herbal tea brand’s grand launch where she and her parents Pinty and Bonoy Gonzaga were introduced as ambassadors.
During the event, Alex shared that she previously felt pressured to conceive, particularly after hearing that the Year of the Dragon was a lucky year for couples trying to have children. She and her husband, Lipa City Councilor Mikee Morada, had hoped to conceive in 2024 but have since shifted their perspective.
“I felt so much pressure last year because people kept telling me that the Year of the Dragon was lucky for having a baby. I even went through IVF because of it,” Alex said.
In addition to IVF, the 35-year-old internet personality tried LIT, a treatment aimed at adjusting her immune system to better recognize pregnancy. According to Alex, her body previously failed to recognize pregnancy, preventing her from carrying to term.
As part of her efforts, Alex has also incorporated Paragis tea into her routine. She praised the herbal tea for its health benefits, including its potential to support fertility.
“I’ve been drinking this tea, and my last test showed positive results. My body is now 60 percent ready for pregnancy, according to my doctor,” she explained, adding that Paragis is known to help with reproductive health. She noted, however, that the tea should be stopped once pregnancy is achieved to avoid any potential risks.
Alex now feels more at peace, saying she is no longer pressuring herself and is open to whatever timing fate may bring.
