MANILA, Philippines — Twelve (12) Filipino artists were given special commemorative rings by Spotify Philippines for having songs that surpassed 200 million streams.

Spotify Philippines celebrated its 10th anniversary last October 8 with the country’s first-ever Spotify Lounge held at the Samsung Hall in Taguig City.

The highlight of the occasion was the distribution of milestone rings for songs by local musicians that have reached 200 million plays on the streaming platform as of September 1.

The silver rings feature a flat top with the Spotify logo engraved in one corner and inside it is the engraving that reads “200,000,000.” Dante Dizon and Jeffrey Koh designed the rings.

Ben&Ben, IV of Spades, Arthur Nery, and Adie were given rings for two milestone songs each; each member of Ben&Ben and IV of Spades got their individual rings.

The double songs were “Kathang Isip” and “Maybe the Night” for Ben&Ben, “Mundo” and “Come Inside of My Heart” for IV of Spades, “Pagsamo” and “Isa Lang” for Arthur Nery, and “Paraluman” and “Mahika” for Adie.

Ben&Ben and Arthur were the only artists present to receive their rings, though Janine Berdin also got a ring for collaborating with Adie on “Mahika.”

More rings went to Nobita for “Ikaw Lang,” SunKissed Lola for “Pasilyo,” Zack Tabudlo for “Pano,” and both December Avenue and Moira Dela Torre for “Kung Di Rin Lang Ikaw.”

While most of the recognized songs were released in the last six years, two were relatively older, namely, “Tadhana” by Up Dharma Down from 2012 and “Kung Wala Ka” by Hale from 2005.

During the Spotify Lounge event, Ben&Ben performed “Kathang Isip” and teased “Triumph” from the band’s upcoming third album, “The Traveller Across Dimensions.”

Apart from them, Maki and Illest Morena also took the stage for their performances, while more local artists were present to support their peers. Spotted were Morissette, Alamat, BGYO, Dwta, and Jason Dhakal.
