Berde Renewables teamed up with Big E Food Corp. (BEFC), makers of the Lemon Square snacks, to install a 2.6-megawattpeak rooftop solar energy system at the company’s production facility in Meycauayan, Bulacan.

The solar PV systems are expected to generate over 3,681.77 megawatt-hours of energy annually, helping BEFC save on electricity costs while cutting down its carbon emissions by around 2,500 tons per year.

The project is one of many initiatives Berde Renewables rolled out as it continues to expand its footprint in the Philippines, empowering businesses to make the shift to greener, more sustainable energy sources.

Berde Renewables chief executive Patrick Zhu said the partnership aligns with the company’s broader efforts to foster energy transition across the country.
