Typhoon Kristine has dealt a tremendous amount of damage in its path, affecting the lives of many Filipinos as well as their livelihoods. With many individuals and organizations teaming up to help provide these typhoon victims with what they may need, some celebrities have also contributed to the cause.
1Z Entertainment, which handles P-pop sensation SB19, has teamed up with the group’s fans or A’TINs in accepting in-kind donations of essential goods at the Yellow Gate, Araneta Coliseum on Oct. 26 and 27.
P-pop girl group BINI has also taken part in an online donation drive by ABS-CBN where they announced that they will be donating P1 million from their upcoming Grand BINIverse concert to help the victims of the typhoon.
Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli’s G Studios PH has partnered with the South Trading Post and Angat Buhay for a donation drive at their studio in Alabang which will go on until Oct. 30 before resuming on Nov. 4 to 17.
While abroad for their concert tour, folk-pop band Ben&Ben has also extended their help by opening their Liwanag House in Robinsons Galleria Ortigas for in-kind donations which their team will be donating to Angat Buhay, the Philippine Red Cross, Caritas Manila, and the ABS-CBN Foundation. The band also announced that it has donated all merchandise sales from its store for the entire month of October to purchase relief goods.
K-pop girl group UNIS has also announced that they will be donating a portion of their Curiousland fan concert at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City last Oct. 25 and the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel on Oct. 26 to typhoon victims.
Meanwhile, celebrities like Kyle Echarri, Heart Evangelista, Kaila Estrada, Maris Racal, Bela Padilla, Dimples Romana, Jodi Sta. Maria, and many others have also utilized their social media platforms to share about donation drives for those who were affected by the typhoon.
