MANILA, Philippines — China pledged to collaborate with member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) to resolve maritime disputes in the South China Sea (SCS).

Mao Ning, spokesman for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), said that China remained committed to resolving maritime differences with concerned Asean members through dialogue and consultation.
