Incumbent Manila third district Rep. Joel Chua is seeking another term as lawmaker.
He filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Tuesday, October 8, beating the deadline set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Chua is campaigning for re-election under the Asenso Manileño local party. He was first elected representative of the third district in 2022 after winning 68 percent of the votes.
At present, Chua serves as chairperson of the House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability.
He is also a member of various other committees at the House of Representatives in the 19th Congress.
