MANILA, Philippines — Minimum wage earners in the Cordilleras are expected to receive a higher take-home pay as the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) will conduct a public hearing on a salary increase petition today.
The wage board said the hearing will start at 8 a.m. until noon in the Kanto Cucina Restaurant in Lagawe, Ifugao.
“The hearing aims to gather insights and feedback from stakeholders on the proposed adjustments to the minimum wage,” the RTWPB said.
Aside from the Cordilleras, the wage board in Zamboanga peninsula yesterday conducted a second hearing on the pay increase request for minimum wage earners in the region.
The RTWPB gave assurance that all inputs and feedback from employers and workers would be considered in crafting equitable wage policies.
