MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested yesterday an alleged leader of a criminal ring responsible for robbery incidents in Quezon City.
John Dominic Pablo, 36, was nabbed by personnel of the Quezon City Police District in Barangay Duyan-Duyan, QCPD director Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. said.
Pablo, of Barangay UP Campus, is said to be the leader of a criminal group tagged in a series of robberies in the city.
The suspect and his companion were on a motorcycle when he was flagged by police at the corner of Batino street and Aurora Boulevard.
Instead of stopping for a routine inspection, the driver sped off, which caused Pablo to fall from the motorcycle.
Police placed Pablo under arrest after he yielded a .38-caliber handgun.
