“Medyo malaki-laki pa ang inaantay na bilang. 160 total na inaasahan ng mag fafile,” Comelec Chairperson George Erwin Garcia said.
(We are still waiting for more party-list groups since we are expecting 160.)
During the first day of COC filing on October 1, 17 aspiring senators and 11 party-list groups filed their candidacies.
On Day 2, 10 senatorial aspirants and 11 party-list groups filed their candidacies.
On Day 3, 12 aspiring senators and nine party-list groups filed their candidacies on the third day.
Meanwhile, on the fourth day, there were 19 senatorial aspirants, while 15 party-list groups filed their certificates of nomination and acceptance.
No untoward incidents were reported at filing sites, Garcia said.
The Comelec will accept COCs and CONAs until October 8. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
