Most of the casualties are aged between 26 and 60 years old, however, these numbers remain subject to validation.

The weather disturbance displaced 575,000 individuals who are currently staying in over 6,000 evacuation centers nationwide.

Additionally, the storm has caused flooding in 663 areas across 13 regions in the country.

The NDRRMC also reported that 35,918 farmers and fisherfolk have been affected by Kristine.

The disaster agency noted that a total of 31,670 hectares of crops were washed away due to the severe weather conditions.

Kristine is the deadliest storm to hit the Southeast Asian country so far this year “especially with the reported number of casualties,” Ariel Nepomuceno of the Office of Civil Defense said.
