THE Department of Finance’s (DoF) Revenue Office (RO) and support offices recently secured their third International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification.
In a statement on Friday, the DoF said an ISO certification validates that a management system, manufacturing process, service or documentation procedure met all the global requirements for standardization and quality assurance.
The certification is issued by the ISO, an independent, nongovernment, international organization that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety and efficiency of products, services and systems.

The DoF said that last month, its RO and support offices were once again awarded an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management certification, valid until September 2027, for their process of granting tax exemptions on qualified importations.
The offices first achieved their ISO certification in 2017 and were recertified in 2021.
By securing an ISO certification, the RO and support offices have validated their strong customer focus as evidenced by the excellent customer satisfaction rating that they have consistently obtained.
“This is the kind of quality public service that we at the DoF aim to deliver to the Filipino people. Makakaasa po ang taumbayan na lalo naming pagbubutihin ang aming serbisyo at mas lalo pa po naming ilalapit ang gobyerno sa tao (The people can expect that we will further improve our services and bring the government closer to the people),” Finance Secretary Ralph Recto said.
