The Miss Universe pageant has announced that Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco will be part of the selection committee for the 73rd Miss Universe pageant.
In the organization’s announcement on social media, it said that Cinco will be bringing his fashion expertise to the competition as one of its judges, making him the 11th Filipino to join the lineup of judges for the pageant.
Cinco took to his Instagram stories to express his gratitude for the opportunity and reminisced about how he has been a part of the competition in the past few years.
“My Miss Universe journey began by dressing the extraordinary women who wore the crown—each one embodying beauty, strength, and purpose. Today, I’m honored to take on a new role in this journey, helping to select the next inspiring queen,” said Cinco while also sharing the gowns that he has designed for candidates in recent years.
He also thanked Miss Universe VP Global Partnerships Olivia Quido-Co, JKN Global Group founder and CEO Anne Jakrajutatip, and Miss Universe Org. President Raul Rocha.
Cinco made a name for himself as a Dubai-based fashion designer that has made pieces for famous celebrities, musicians, and beauty queens throughout the years.
