A couple in General Santos City was found dead inside their house after they allegedly stabbed each other according to police.
According to the report of GMA Regional TV’s Alan Domingo in Saksi on Monday, the victims’ neighbors said the incident stemmed from a quarrel between the two.
The financial problems of the live-in partners are some of the angles police is looking into as the cause of the deadly fight.
“Based on the statements of the people there, it was the woman who attacked first and the man grabbed the knife from her, and also stabbed her,” said Police Major Ari Noel Cardos, PS-3 General Santos Police Station commander.
“There are actually other versions of the incident. But they are still both victims in this case,” he added.
The woman sustained three stab wounds on her neck while the man was stabbed once in the chest.
A knife, which is believed to have been used in the fatal exchange, was recovered from the crime scene.
“If there is other evidence, we will conduct another investigation,” said Cardos. —Vince Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
