Months after Carlos Yulo’s historic two-gold medal win in the 2024 Paris Olympics, an international gymnastics event is set to be held in the country.
The STY International Gymnastics Cup, on its ninth edition, will be held on October 18 to 20 at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex.
According to PGAA STY Gymnastics Center, over 700 athletes from Asia, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and India, will battle in the uneven bars, balance beam, vault, and floor exercise.
“I am looking forward to this year seeing more promising athletes showcasing their skills in the competition, making new friends and learning from each other,” STY Gymnastics Center founder and head coach Boots Ty said in a statement.
“I am also pleased to share that this year, there has been increased participants from provinces around the Philippines and also for the first time, we will be having a Men’s Artistic Gymnastics category,” Ty added.
The PGAA STY Gymnastics Center was established in 2008.
