MANILA, Philippines — With no tropical cyclone in sight following Typhoon “Julian,” the state weather bureau said an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and easterlies are affecting the country on Saturday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), in its early morning bulletin, said Visayas, Mindanao and Metro Manila were affected by the ITCZ, which is a convergence of winds in both northern and southern hemispheres.
