Work in all first and second level courts and offices in Luzon was suspended on October 25, Friday, due to inclement weather brought by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Supreme Court (SC) said that the courts and offices should be accessible to lawyers, court users, and litigants through their respective hotline numbers and official email addresses.

“Judges should also monitor the condition of their court premises to determine or conduct any required clean-up operation or repair/rehabilitation work,” the SC said.

Operations in all SC offices were also suspended.

The SC said a skeleton workforce will be implemented for its Docket-Receiving Section and Cash Collection and Disbursement Division.

Aside from this, operations in all offices of the Sandiganbayan, Court of Tax Appeals, and Court of Appeals Luzon Station were suspended.

Signal No. 2 remain raised over several areas as Kristine maintained its strength.

It is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Friday afternoon.
