THE New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) said higher service rates would be implemented at the country’s foremost airport.

A meet and assist service fee of P8,000 will now be charged per arriving and departing passenger at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), it said.

The NNIC said the following service options were available to passengers:

– Service Option 1. It will accommodate up to nine passengers, access passes for coordinators and a vehicle pass, all for P50,000.

– Service Option 2. Up to 10 to 20 passengers, four access passes for coordinators, and a vehicle pass for P100,000.

– Service Option 3. A package of 21 to 30 passengers, four access passes for coordinators and a vehicle pass for P140,000.

NNIC said lounge use was not included in the deal.

Prior to the NNIC takeover of NAIA, each passenger was charged P800 for regular assistance.

A package that includes the use of VIP lounge, vehicle pass and assistance from Public Affairs Office personnel costs P4,032.00. Use of the lounge was limited to 10 persons. An additional P201.60 will be charged if the number of users exceeds 10.

NAIA parking fees have also increased starting October 1.

NNIC said increasing fees was necessary to sustain the modernization of the NAIA.
