MGEN. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. will be the second top official of the Philippine National Police (PNP) effective October 9.
The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief will take over the post vacated by LtGen. Emmanuel Peralta, who retired from the service in August, the PNP said.
Assuming the NCRPO top post is MGen. Sidney Hernia, chief of the Directorate for Personnel and Records Management.
Hernia’s position will be given to BGen. Benjamin Sembrano, the acting director of the PNP Forensics Group, which will be passed on to BGen. Constancio Chinayog.
On Friday, PNP chief Gen. Francisco Marbil appointed MGen. Edgar Alan Okubo as chief of the PNP Directorial Staff following the retirement of Gen. Jon Arnaldo.
