The transmission infrastructure affected during Severe Tropical Storm Kristine’s onslaught has been restored, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on Saturday.
In its grid situation bulletin, as of 1 p.m. October 26, the NGCP said that it “has completely restored all loads affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.”
“The tropical cyclone poses no further threat to any NGCP facilities,” the grid operator said.
On Friday, the NGCP announced that it was conducting simultaneous restoration activities in areas that had already been made accessible to their line teams.
Despite full restoration of the power grid infrastructure affected by Kristine, NGCP said its Overall Command Center (OCmC) remains activated as it continues to monitor weather disturbances.
“NGCP’s transmission lines and facilities are under normal operations,” it said. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
