MANILA, Philippines — The number of individuals affected by Severe Tropical Storm “Kristine” has reached 2,077,643, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC);om Thursday.
The number represented 431,738 families from 2,124 villages spread across Ilocos, Cagayan, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga peninsula, Caraga, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
At least 1,669,507 of the total came from the Bicol Region.
Likewise, the NDRRMC situation report affirmed that 7 were dead, 4 injured and 7 missing from the storm.
More than 1000 houses were damaged – 915 partially and 92 totally.
Some 296 road and bridges were tallied as not flooded or not passable due to floods although water in 44 areas have since subsided.
At least 18 municipalities and cities had declared a state of calamity.
Meanwhile P21,516,422.45 in assistance were provided to affected families.
