The Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) said Wednesday night that work in government offices and classes at all levels in Bicol Region are still suspended on Thursday, October 24.
This is given the continuous rainfall brought about by Tropical Storm Kristine, the OES said.
Those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.
Meanwhile, the suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.
Bicol region has been severely affected by Kristine, submerging towns and municipalities in high floods.
The OES ensured that the NDRRMC, OCD, and other relevant agencies are continuously monitoring the situation in other regions and will recommend further suspensions, as needed.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
