Two people were rescued after an allision of two vessels off Puerto Princesa City, Palawan waters, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Friday.
In a statement, the PCG said MBCA Jerrylyn and an unidentified vessel were involved in the allision 12 nautical miles east off Canigaran Beach in Barangay Bancao-Bancao on Wednesday.
“The Coast Guard Search and Rescue (SAR) team rescued the two passengers of MBCA Jerrylyn who were forced to jump overboard,” the PCG said.
“The rescued individuals were brought to the Puerto Princesa Fish Port, where they received thorough medical evaluations,” it added.
A comprehensive investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to the Coast Guard Station Central Palawan.
