MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced
that 592 out of 1,088 or 54.41 percent and 2,110 out of 2,711 or 77.83 percent passed the licensure exams for chemists and chemical technicians respectively.
The top 10 are:
1. Christlen Carlo Lizardo Olivares – Ateneo De Manila University (94.10 percent
2. Justtine James Balde Vega – Bicol University-Legazpi (92.85 percent)
3. Jigo Labuga Biyoyo – Caraga State University-Butuan (91.35 percent)
4. Joshua Aaron Barquilla Cabando – University of the Philippines-Diliman (90.95 percent)
5. John Mark Echon Billonid – Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sta. Mesa and Yuan Samson Masuda – Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (90.55 percent)
6. Christian Paul Ybañez Ende – UP Diliman (90.45 percent)
7. John Francis Garcia Antiola – UP Los Baños (90.25 percent)
8. Brainard Bontia – UP Diliman (90.15 percent)
9. Gio Genre Delica De Asis – Batangas State University-Batangas City (90 percent)
10. Ethan Aduptante (89.70 percent)
In the Chemical Technicians Licensure Exams, only the top 3 were announced, with Dexter Costruas Mas from Eastern Visayas State University-Tacloban and Justtine James Balde Vega from Bicol University-Legazpi being the topnotchers with a score of 91.50 percent.
Five passers shared the number two position with a score of 91 percent, while four placed in third with a score of 90.50 percent.
Both exams were taken from October 14 to 15 in testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban and Zamboanga.
