MANILA, Philippines —  Robinsons Land Corp.’s hospitality arm is investing over P10 billion in hotel development over the next few years to boost its portfolio by about 1,000 room keys.

The investment will significantly expand Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR)’s upscale and ultra-luxury portfolio by adding over 990 room keys.

It is expected to drive long-term growth for RHR, enhance guest experiences, and solidify the company’s position in the hospitality sector.

The investment is also expected to  elevate RHR’s standing among globally recognized brands catering to various market segments.

As the Philippines’ largest and most diversified hotel group, RHR currently has 30 properties in 20 cities and municipalities nationwide.

Through the investment, RHR senior vice president and business unit general manager Barun Jolly said the company would continue to elevate Filipino hospitality, setting new benchmarks in global excellence.

“Our growth is closely aligned with the Gokongwei Group’s commitment to offering the best hospitality options across all travel segments,” Jolly said.

“We are dedicated to delivering elevated luxury and branded stay experiences across the country,” he said.

RHR’s P10 billion investment includes the launch of ultra-luxury hotel NuStar in Cebu, the lifestyle brand Grand Summit in key locations such as Cebu and Pangasinan and Fili in Bridgetowne, Metro Manila.

Fili is the first and only Filipino-owned five-star hotel brand.

As a symbol of Philippine excellence in hospitality, Fili Hotel is currently located in Cebu’s premier NUSTAR Resort complex.

Meanwhile, the upcoming Fili Hotel in Bridgetowne will rise alongside the Opus Mall and the iconic Victor statue.

“Fili is a heartfelt project that celebrates Filipino hospitality while setting a new standard in international luxury,” Jolly said.

RHR is also set to open two additional Grand Summit properties in Cebu and Pangasinan.

Grand Summit Cebu will complete the NUSTAR Resort complex, while Grand Summit Pangasinan will bring upscale hospitality to the region alongside the expansive Robinsons mall.

Grand Summit is a lifestyle brand that blends local culture with art and design to provide a unique luxury experience.

The first Grand Summit Hotel opened in General Santos City in 2021.

Ultra-luxury hotel brand NuStar will also open at the NUSTAR Resort complex in Cebu.
