Scattered rain will prevail over Batanes on Monday due to the effects of shear line, the state weather bureau said.

Meanwhile, scattered rains in Isabela, Aurora and Quezon are to be expected from the effects of easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.

Metro Manila, Eastern Visayas, and the rest of Luzon, on the other hand, may still expect isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by easterlies.

In a 4 a.m. weather advisory, DOST-PAGASA Weather Specialist Aldczar D. Aurelio confirmed that there is currently no low pressure area within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

The shear line will primarily be affecting extreme Northern Luzon, while the eastern sections of Luzon and Visayas will be affected by easterlies.

No gale warning is raised over the entire country.
