Telco alerts customers to fake relief solicitations

I show You how To Make Huge Profits In A Short Time With Cryptos!

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) is warning customers about solicitations sent via online messaging platforms and OTT apps.

Reports have surfaced of scammers posing as company representatives or representatives from organizations, soliciting donations for fake relief operations. These individuals often send payment QR codes to potential victims to send their “donations to.”

To combat this, Smart is blocking mobile numbers associated with these scams and collaborating with digital payment platforms and government agencies to investigate and prosecute offenders.

Smart encourages customers to #BeCyberSmart by verifying the authenticity of such requests. It’s advisable to confirm any solicitations by calling contacts using saved numbers or initiating a video call. Customers can also check the official online pages of the organizations involved.

If you receive suspicious messages, report them to Smart’s HULISCAM portal at https://smart.com.ph/huliscam, including the sender’s mobile number and message details. Cyber threats can also be reported through Smart’s official social media pages—Smart Communications on Facebook and @SmartCares on X—or by calling the hotline *888.
