Former senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV on Wednesday said the transcript of the Monday Senate hearing on the former administration’s drug war has been sent to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
“The transcript of the Senate hearing where the evil duts (former president Rodrigo Duterte) admitted a lot on EJK (extrajudicial killings) was transmitted now to the ICC,” Trillanes posted in a mix of English and Filipino on social media.
“The pertinent Quad Comm transcripts were transmitted early on and all were duly received,” he added.
The former senator said all of these records will be used in a trial later on.
Among Duterte’s statements were that he takes full responsibility for the drug war and that he maintained a death squad in Davao City.
Meanwhile, Senate President Francis Escudero said the former chief executive’s words can be used “either for or against him” as these were sworn under oath.
