VICE President Sara Duterte confirmed on Tuesday the existence of a viral video from the social media site TikTok where she is seen dancing with two others.
During a chance interview with reporters on the sidelines of the 50th Philippine Business Conference and Expo in Pasay City, Duterte said that she performed in three TikTok videos as suggested by a fellow content creator who asked her help for content.
“Content creator na ako, pwede mo ba tulungan ‘yung account ko. I-promote mo ‘yung account ko (I am a content creator, can you help me in my account, I hope you promote my account),” Duterte quoted the person as saying.
Duterte said she acceded to the request of her friend to dance in the video.
“Tinuruan nila ako, and then sumayaw [ako] (They taught me, and then I danced),” Duterte said.
