The Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay in Northern Palawan on Tuesday urged the public to report a Facebook account that “maliciously” uses photos of Bishop Broderick Pabillo.
Among the posts on the fake Facebook account showed that it received its “first investment profit” amounting to P400,000 through e-wallet.
Another post tagged a certain Rodriguez Amelia with photos of a construction site.
The public was advised that the prelate only has one verified Facebook page named “Bishop Pabillo.”
Meanwhile, the private Facebook account named “Bishop Broderick Pabillo” is not associated with the apostolic vicar of Taytay.
“Please be advised that these accounts are not affiliated with Bishop Pabillo or any of our official social media platforms,” the Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay said.
“We need your help if you come across these fake accounts or any suspicious post and doubtful messages, please report it immediately to Facebook. Your quick action can help us stop this harmful behavior and protect our community,” it added.
