THE Philippines must prepare to insulate itself from any adverse economic impact should US President-elect Donald Trump push through with protectionist policies, a Cabinet official said.
“Diversifying our exports is an ongoing effort,” Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan told reporters on Thursday, highlighting recent advances in securing free trade agreements (FTAs) with South Korea and the United Arab Emirates along with continuing negotiations with the European Union.
