MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Justice (DoJ) announced on Tuesday plans to prosecute Filipino facilitators involved in a case tied to a French graphic artist recently sentenced to 25 years in prison for orchestrating the livestreamed rape of hundreds of minors in the Philippines.
Collaborating closely with the National Coordination Center Against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and the Women and Children Protection Center of the Philippine National Police (PNP), the DoJ said it was mobilizing resources to fortify investigations and legal proceedings against those who facilitated the heinous acts.
