Fire temporarily shuts down QC’s Bagbag Cemetery on Undas

A fire broke out in a residential area inside the Bagbag Cemetery’s compound in Quezon City during the observance of All Saints’ Day on Friday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

The blaze started at 9:02 a.m. and reached the second alarm at 9:17 a.m.

According to a report of Super Radyo dzBB’s Allan Gatus, affected residents were seen fleeing from the fire by passing through the gaps between the apartment tombs.

The entry to Bagbag Cemetery was prohibited for the meantime.

Responders had to step on the apartment tombs to splash water on the burning houses made of light materials.

Based on the initial report, the fire started from an electric fan which exploded and fell on a bed.
