First Lady Louise ”Liza” Araneta-Marcos has led the distribution of assistance for the victims of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine in Batangas province.
In a post on her social media account Sunday, Marcos also expressed sympathies for the countless families who have been grieving for the loss of their loved ones.
”Today, we gathered to honor those lives and to extend a helping hand to those who now face the journey of rebuilding,” she said.
”To the ????????????????, ????????????????????????????????, ???????????????????????????????????? and all our private partners – – ???????????????????? ???????????? for standing by our kababayans during this difficult time. Your compassion and dedication bring light and hope,” she added.
The BingoPlus Foundation, the social development arm of DigiPlus Interactive, gave P37 million worth of financial aid to the families affected by Kristine.
“The BingoPlus Foundation exists to provide more than financial aid; it is about creating hope, resilience, and real change,” DigiPlus Interactive chairman Eusebio Tanco said in a press release.
“The work of the BingoPlus Foundation is a true reflection of our belief in giving back without holding back, of reaching out to lift up those in need, and of multiplying the good in every way possible,” he added.
Kristine (international name: Trami), which was inside PAR from October 21 to 25, caused more than a hundred fatalities and nearly P6 billion in damage to infrastructure and agriculture, government data has shown.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
