THE price of gasoline went down slightly on Tuesday, but that of diesel and kerosene are up.
The cost of gasoline dipped by 10 centavos per liter while the prices of diesel rose by 75 centavos and kerosene by 50 centavos.
The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau attributed the price adjustments to mixed movements to optimism over US fuel demand, the drop in global crude and gasoline inventories, Israel’s retaliatory attacks on Iran’s military sites, and tighter Asian regional supplies for some fuel products.
Fuel prices could remain volatile despite Israel’s Prime Minister’s recent call for a meeting to seek the end of the war in Lebanon, the bureau said.
On a year-to-date basis, gasoline has gone up by P8.65 per liter and diesel by P7.30.
Kerosene still has a total net decrease of P2.60 per liter.
