MANILA, Philippines — A contempt order against a former mayor in Pampanga has been lifted by a committee at the House of Representatives investigating Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) and their alleged illegal activities.

Abang Lingkod Rep. Joseph Stephen Paduano, a chairman of the Quad Committee, on Wednesday night, read a portion of former Mexico, Pampanga mayor Teddy Tumang’s motion for reconsideration where he expressed his “most profound apologies for any conduct that may have been perceived by this honorable committee to be non-cooperative and disrespectful” and affirmed his commitment “once again to help” the committee in its investigation.
